Sex has always been a topic of taboo and subjected to stigmatization in society but this man is determined to change things with his efforts. He wants Sweden to become the first country to turn sex into a sport where you can score yourself a trophy or a medal if your bedroom game is impressive enough. But this performance-based approach to the most intimate activity has sparked a whole lot of debate on the internet. According to UNILAD, a man named Dragan Bratic has come up with this interesting proposition.

Bratic, who owns several strip clubs in Sweden's Jönköping area is eager to make sex an official sport as it burns a lot of calories. He also highlighted the importance of the positive physical and mental impact that sex has on human beings and how sex is necessary in our lives. So, the man had presented his idea through an application to National Sports Confederation back in January 2023, per the outlet.

"We are registered, have an organization number and it’s perfectly okay to train and compete in sex, then it’s a sport like any other," Bratic told P4 Jönköping. "The incorporation of sexual orientation as a part of sporting tactics will be a ground-breaking development among European countries." A six-week-long sex championship with six disciplines, including seduction, body massages, foreplay, oral sex and endurance was called for by Bratic and the Swedish Sex Federation.

Couples will be evaluated on the basis of their sexual innovation, creative communication and postures. The competition will feature 20 competitors from various nations and the championship winners will be chosen by a panel of three judges. The ultimate winner will emerge depending on a number of variables, including the chemistry between the couple, the contestants' understanding of sex and their level of endurance.

Björn Eriksson, the former chief of the sports body said: “The application doesn’t meet our requirements and I can inform you that this application has been rejected. We have other things to do." According to the outlet, Dr. Maryanne Fisher (Professor at St. Mary's University and researcher of interpersonal relationships) said, "Unlike bowling, though, sex can also increase self-esteem, cardio-vascular health, emotional intimacy, improve sleeping and increase immunity." Many netizens joked about this news and said that "they are going to move to Sweden" to compete in this sport and some found this whole idea unbelievable. But at the end of the day, it was an interesting idea proposed by this Swedish man...and who knows, they might actually turn sex into an Olympic sport in the future.
