Tom Brady, who's usually a private person, dropped a sultry snap in his underwear on Twitter and people are calling it a "thirst trap."
Tom Brady is welcoming his newly-gained singlehood with some thirsty images. It is very unlike Brady, and we wonder what made him post the sultry image. The 45-year-old football star stripped down to his underwear and social media was instantly flooded with meme-worthy comments.
Renowned for his private personality, Brady posed in just his underwear after his estranged partner, Gisele Bündchen, flaunted her curves in a skimpy bathing suit for a beach-side photo shoot.
Could it be a revenge post? We'll probably never know.
He posted a nearly-naked image to his Twitter account, in what many speculate is a promotion for his underwear brand. He wore nothing except a pair of brown, tight-fitted underwear while his brilliantly toned abs stole the show.
In the post, he is seen sitting on the edge of an unmade bed with his legs open while hiding his privates with his hands. The image caused a stir on social media because he has never before been so revealing in the public eye.
The athlete, who has a whopping seven Super Bowl rings, announced his retirement from the NFL in a solemn video a few days before sharing the thirst trap. "I am retiring for good," Brady said in the video.
The football star and his wife announced their separation and filed for divorce a few months ago. It shocked the world because they had been together for 16 years and had been married for 13 years.
Bündchen shared on Instagram: "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always."
The intention behind Brady's eye-catching snap is unknown, but social media users have proposed several names for his act. Some are branding it a "thirst trap" while others joked that he has gone "rogue" since quitting football.
Twitter users never fail to disappoint with their savage humor and had much to say about Brady's snap. A Twitter user, @TheNumberNine, wrote, "You might be the goat QB, but I think you should have picked Gisel and the kids bro. No one wants to see a 45 yr old dad in his undies trying to thirst trap. Another user, @greg16676935420, was not too pleased and wrote, "Dude people's wives and girlfriends are on this app."

The athlete launched his clothing line, BRADY, in January 2022. It turns out that the thirsty snap was a deal he made with his clothing company. Back in June 2022, he tweeted: "40k likes and I will recreate these photos."
He certainly help up his end of the promise after the apparel line reminded him of his promise on February 6, 2023. The sultry snap went viral and he captioned it, "Did I do it right?"
