Vacationers Trolled for Racing Against Each Other to Claim the Best Sunbeds Before 8 AM | “Hideous”

The race against time has a new comedic twist in this viral TikTok video where impatient vacationers desperately race to claim their favorite sunbeds before the clock ticks 8 AM. In an attempt to secure the best spot, some hotel guests were in line since 7.20 AM. LOL. Despite the hotel having five pools, guests made a shameless dash.
A guest @Thomas Clifford caught the competitive holidaymakers on his camera when a crowd of holidaymakers showed up at one of the pools at Canary Island resort Paradise Park just as it opened. He posted the video on his TikTok account. According to Clifford's video caption, "Sunbed Wars. My wife told me that everyone races each morning to get a sunbed. I didn't believe her." The man decided to see for himself if such a "race" happened, so he woke up early to catch the sight live. It turned out his wife was right. Haha!!
This race has been happening for years and is now dubbed "sunbed wars." For years, tourists get up at the crack of dawn to reserve their favorite sunbeds by laying their towels. Sounds so childish, right? But it's a regular thing at this resort. Every guest wants to lie on the best sunbed and have the best view. This is why the competition is tougher than it seems to us who are laughing at the bed race. However, fellow TikTok users weren't pleased with the guests' behavior to fight for a lounger. A TikTok user, @louissharpp drew a comparison and wrote, "Modern-day Britain VS Germany." The OP replied, "Haha, I couldn't believe it! People were sniping by throwing their towels off the top of the stairs." OMG! It sounds like a life-and-death situation.
Another user, @peaches628 seemed unhappy and said, "OMG! Hideous." Clifford responded, "I felt sorry for the poor man trying to clean the pool as everyone stampeded him!" LOL. The people showed no consideration whatsoever. If you think this was just a one-time issue, hold your horses. A similar video was shared by another user Sarah in July 2022. The TikTok video that garnered more than five million views in hardly 24 hours was captioned, 'The Sunbed Race.' According to Paradise Park spokesperson Rafael Ruiz-Benitez de Lugo, "We were amused to see it considering that our hotel has five swimming pools and areas with space and sunbeds for everyone." He quipped, "Although we see quite a bit of talent among our guests for obstacle races," as reported by Daily Mail. Hilarious.
William Hanson, the etiquette expert has explained some 'unofficial' rules for how long it's appropriate to reserve a sunbed. In an interview with The Mirror, he said, "Reserving sun loungers with a towel for longer than 30 minutes is a big no-no. Beyond that grace period, it's first come, first served." We hope the "impatient" guests are reading this.
