It’s no secret that Cyberpunk has pushed the boundaries of video games more than any other RPG before. With it’s incredible open-world environment and customizable features, there’s so much for gamers to explore. That unique level of gameplay has unfortunately come with a price. Constant bugs and other setbacks have resulted in tons of pissed off gamers who demanded (and got) refunds from Cyberpunk developer CD Projekt Red.
The makers of Cyberpunk have apparently tackled yet another bug in the game. Players have been having so much sex with Keanu Reeves in the game that Projekt Red had to ban the act completely.
Damn that’s horrible news for all the virgin gamers out there who have been fornicating endlessly with actor Keanu Reeves.
Just to clarify: Cyberpunk players aren’t actually having sex with Keanu Reeves. They’re having sex with a character who looks like Keanu Reeves. A character in the game named “Johnny Silverhand” is voiced and based off of Keanu’s look in the film John Wick.
This is when the customizable features of Cyberpunk came back to bite the developer (hey some people are into that sort of thing). Players can modify characters that they can have sex with in the game to look like Keanu’s character. Folks have apparently been doing that for fun in between missions throughout the fictional town of “Night City.”
Guess we can’t blame people for wanting to have sex with Keanu Reeves. He does look pretty hunky in this game, not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Stay away from Keanu you Cyberpunk freaks!
CD Projekt Red basically ruled that players are free to do whatever they want in the game, just stay away from Keanu, or other characters based on a real person’s likeness. Projekt Red probably got some awkward calls from Keanu’s team, leading to a statement:
For the characters we’ve invented for the game, we broadly permit you to tweak the game at will and just have fun. When it comes to models of real people whom we’ve asked to participate in the game, we kindly ask you to refrain from using them in any situation that might be found offensive if you don’t have their explicit permission.-CD Projekt Red
At the end of the day, CD Projekt Red is a business. Keanu is a huge star so it makes sense that they would bend the knee and outlaw lewd acts with his character. That didn’t stop the Internet from reacting hilariously to the news:
Looks like gamers have some strong opinions about not being able to have sex with Keanu Reeves on Cyberpunk.
Guess you’ll just have to settle for having sex with less attractive NPCs. Or you could put the controller down and get a real significant other. Just a thought!
