The recent release of the PS5 was one of the most anticipated console launches of the past few years. With breathtaking graphics and amazing gameplay, the PS5 is a hot commodity that was scooped up almost instantly by hardcore gamers as well as scalpers who listed consoles on resale sites like eBay for upwards of $5000. Yes, you read that right: for the cost of a resale market PS5 you could buy a used 2006 Chrysler Town & Country LX minivan and still have enough money left over for gas.
But screw the minivan: the PS5 looks incredible. While you might not have been able to get your hands on a coveted Playstation 5 over the holidays, these lucky kids did – and their reactions will brighten your day.
If you were lucky enough to get one for Christmas, you’d squeal like this kid too.
Look, we’re not trying to rub these reactions in your face. It’s not like YOU got a PS5 for Christmas, but you have to admit it’s nice to see this sort of thing during what will probably be the longest work week of the year.
If you’re sitting at your computer right now just going through countless emails that you had the luxury of ignoring just a few shorts days ago, we feel for you. Maybe this will cheer you up?
January is one of the coldest months of the year but these kinds of videos warm our frigid hearts. It’s nice to remind ourselves of holiday cheer as we get back to the regular grind of life, even if you think these kids are a little bit spoiled. Make no mistake: they are spoiled. But it’s still nice to see them happy, even so!
Okay we initially said this article was just kids reacting to opening up PS5s for Christmas, but we have to throw in this video of a grown man screaming like a little baby after getting one. How could we not?!
If you didn’t get a PS5 for Christmas, it’s okay. There’s still time. It will probably be years before the PS6 comes out so you’ll have plenty of chances to pick one up without missing out on all the fun. At the end of the day, having the latest and greatest video game console isn’t the only thing that matters. Just look at this kid.
