Woman Orders a Desk to Her Grandmother’s House. They Delivered Something Very 'Erotic' Instead

"How does Amazon mess this up?" asked Amanda, who had ordered a desk to her husband's grandmother's house.

We all look forward to the parcels we have ordered from online shopping sites. It's like ordering a little gift for our future self. What's not to like?

Well, there are a few things that could go wrong... hilariously wrong. Amanda Reed, a TikTok user, shared in a video how she had been looking forward to receiving her new workstation which was to be delivered to her grandmother-in-law's house a few miles away. But she was hit with the (grand)mother of all delivery mess-ups.

Amanda explained that she lives in a small town without mailboxes, so she and her family always have mail delivered to her husband's grandmother's house. On the day of delivery, the 85-year-old grandmother called to inform her that a package had arrived. Amanda was coaching her son's basketball game at the time of the call, so she was a little distracted. But she responded, "Oh, my desk has arrived?" The grandma seemed hesitant and mentioned something about the mailbox, but Amanda said she was too focused on the game to think about it.

She didn't think about their brief conversation until later when she wondered how a full-sized desk could fit into a mailbox. She then called her husband to explain her confusion. He followed up with his grandmother, who clarified that the package was indeed small enough to fit in the mailbox. He asked her to open it to see what it was. "How does Amazon mess this up?" Amanda then inquired, before reminding viewers of their order: a smart, L-shaped desk. She then showed the camera a box containing what they had actually received. "This video might not even post because of what this is," she added.

What the 85-year-old received in her mail was a sex toy. "She reads an insert and it says 'Mini massage erotica,' and she said, 'Justin, I don't think I can read any more of this,'" Amanda recounted. "Y'all, I had to go pick it up to send pictures to Amazon. I have been dying." Her video received more than 1.7 million views within two weeks of posting.

Amanda posted an update a day later, confirming that Amazon had refunded their purchase and that she has since purchased a desk from Home Depot. She also stated that the NSFW "gift" was hers to keep, according to the online retailer. But, she insisted, she had not kept the "gift" and it found a new owner.

And, no, that owner is not their grandmother.

TikTok viewers had some amusing responses to share. "I would be so upset if I ordered that and got a desk," wrote @Honey. "I thought it was gonna be a tiny desk and they scammed you, this was a funnier outcome," commented @sarah. "If u spend over $139.00 you automatically get a free gift lol while you're doing all that work you deserve a stress reliever," joked @Mckinney4. "So that’s where my order went! Lol," mocked @Emily Carter Pierce
