Woman Finds Out She Was Named After Dad’s Mistress to Help Cover Up His Affair | It Clearly Didn't Work

A woman recently went viral on TikTok after she found out who her dad named her after, and how that discovery led to the end of her parent's marriage. Kristina explains that her parents had made a deal before she was born that her mother would get to name the baby if they have a boy, and her father would do so if they have a daughter. When Kristina was born, she says that her mom was on drugs and was not conscious after she had to get a c-section. So her dad didn't feel the need to discuss the name with her mom and filed the paperwork himself.

"And alas, he chose to name me Kristina," the TikTok user says in her video. "When my mom came, too, I guess she didn’t really hate the name, so she just kind of went with it, and you know, everything was fine for a few months," she adds. It's not known exactly how her father convinced her mother about the name. However, the happy times came to an end when her mother made the discovery of someone named Kristina that her dad went out of his way to cover up. "My mom found out that my dad was cheating on her. And guess what the woman’s name was? Kristina. So if he messed up and called her the wrong name, he could say he was talking about me," she says. Ingenious.
Kristina doesn't seem to share a great relationship with her father. In reply to one of the comments that asked if she has a good relationship with him, she says, "No, my dad left when I was three and never had any contact with me or my sisters until we were grown. He went on to have more kids and he also abandoned." She also asked viewers to share their eccentric stories if they had any about their names! Many took to the post to share many anecdotes, with one user sharing they were that were named after a hitchhiker. "My mom had picked him up in Alaska, and she said he had the most beautiful eyes," they said. Another person chimed in, "My middle name is Nicole because Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered on my birthday the year before I was born"

"My older sisters’ names are Sheena & Sheera so my dad named me Sheerena," read a hilarious comment. From NorthWest to X Æ A-12, we cannot get enough of crazy kid names and even crazier stories linked with them. Jokes apart, tying someone's name to a bad memory is not a great thing. Kudos to Kristina for being such a sport and sharing about it so light-heartedly.
