The 'Euphoria' star shared a photo of Rihanna's fierce stare, followed by a screenshot of her exact reaction during Tom's performance of 'Umbrella.'
Rihanna, the gorgeous Mom-to-be, made her big stage comeback during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, serving major looks in a full face of Fenty Beauty and performing all of her greatest hits from We Found Love to Umbrella. The show-stopping Super Bowl halftime performance sparked excitement from all sorts of fans including A-listers like Adele and Zendaya. One thing that was noticeably absent from the multi-hyphenate billionaire businesswoman's performance, though, was a single all-star guest, Tom Holland. Zendaya posted a throwback to her hilarious reaction to Tom Holland's lip sync battle, highlighting she was in awe of Rihanna.
Fans pleaded for Spider-Man star Tom Holland, 26, to appear as a guest on Umbrella because of his hilarious performance of the 2007 song on an episode of Lip Sync Battle in 2017, where he competed against his GF and all-around icon, Zendaya. Holland was so engrossed in her performance that Euphoria's Emmy-winning star, also 26, grabbed her face and fell to the ground in awe. It's no surprise that fans wanted to see a Rihanna/Holland collaboration on the field on Sunday night. "I was hoping for a Tom Holland appearance during Umbrella," tweeted @MelissaGenard. "If there's anything she needs to be called out on it's not having Tom Holland cameo in Umbrella," suggested @hockeyfisch.
ok so i wasn't the only one that thought Rihanna should have brought out Tom Holland during the song umbrella 😂 pic.twitter.com/saOW5bTJFB

Though that wish was not fulfilled, Zendaya became aware of the fan theories. This was evident when following Rihanna's spectacular Super Bowl performance, the 26-year-old actress posted a priceless reaction to her Instagram stories. The Euphoria star shared a photo of Rih's fierce stare from the start of the show, followed by a screenshot of her exact reaction during Tom's performance of Umbrella.
Tom's meme-worthy grandiose performance of Singing in the Rain and RiRi's hit track were featured on the 2017 Lip Sync Battle episode. Zendaya dressed up in a full Bruno Mars-inspired outfit to lip-sync 24K Magic. Rihanna's power won Tom the lip sync battle that night, and it became an iconic moment in pop culture history for years to come. While Rihanna's halftime show featured no special appearances other than her baby bump, we can still hope that she and Tom will interact one day and break the internet.
Zendaya has previously gushed about Rihanna. In an interview with Glamour in 2017, the actress discussed how the Work artist has influenced her fashion style. "A huge part of my gaining confidence is because of fashion. What I love about someone like Rihanna is her fearlessness," she previously said. "It's almost a sense of, pardon my language, 'I don't give a f---.' When she wears a dress, it's for herself, and you can see that. There's something to be said for the fact that literally, everybody can hate my outfit, but if I feel good in it, I'm the only one that should matter."
And the two stars' love is reciprocal. Rihanna previously referred to Zendaya as a "brown goddess" while praising her 2017 Met Gala ensemble. Zendaya commented on the post, "Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over, I appreciate you so much," in response to the compliment.
